In a vibrant and lively ceremony held on Monday, July 3, 2023, Br. Tharindu Nuwan CSsR made his Perpetual Profession of Religious Vows at the beautiful Sancta Maria Chapel in Kandy, Sri Lanka. The Mass of Perpetual Profession, a significant milestone in Br. Tharindu’s spiritual journey, was a momentous occasion filled with joy and attended by his loved ones, including family and friends. The Regional Superior, Fr. Chandana Sanjeewa CSsR, presided over the ceremony, while Redemptorist confreres from Colombo, Ampitiya, and Hewadiwela joined to share in the celebration and welcome Br. Tharindu as a fully pledged member of the Region. Fr. Chandana emphasised the importance of the occasion and the profound impact Br. Tharindu’s dedication would have on the Redemptorist community.
Br. Tharindu’s journey towards his Perpetual Profession of Religious Vows has been marked by dedication, discernment, and an unwavering commitment to his faith. Throughout his formation period within the Redemptorist Congregation, Br. Tharindu underwent spiritual, intellectual, and pastoral training in various countries, including Sri Lanka and the Philippines, preparing him for a life of service and devotion.
The Perpetual Profession of Religious Vows signifies Br. Tharindu’s lifelong commitment to the Redemptorist Congregation and the ideals it upholds.
